FAQ

  • Q: Will the watermark with the cross appear on my final PDF?

A: The watermark will NOT appear on your final PDF.
It only appears on the free Preview, but once you place your order we render your poster without the watermark.

  • Q: Is there any system requirement to create a Movie Poster?

A: We recommend using the latest version of Chrome on your desktop computer.

  • Q: I don't have a Paypal account, can I still purchase a poster?

A: Absolutely. Simply choose to "buy as a guest" at the bottom of the Paypal window, and enter your billing information to pay with your debit or credit card.

  • Q: How do I get started with a Movie Poster Template?

A: Simply select a Movie Poster Template and upload your material:
    - for TEXT:
go to the TEXT tab of the ELEMENTS palette, then locate the text section you want to change and type in your copy.
    - for IMAGES: go to the IMAGE tab of the ELEMENTS palette, then replace the template images with yours by clicking on the "Choose File" button.

Take a look at the "Getting Started" page for more details.

  • Q: How can I get a free Preview?

A: To get a free Preview, simply click on the "Download your free Preview" button: a new window will open in your browser with your free Ppreview file that you can save on your hard drive.
Note: the sketches will appear in your free Preview (if you haven't made them invisible or haven't uploaded your own pictures yet), but they will NOT appear in your final PDF file.

  • Q: How much does it cost to order a PDF of my movie poster?

A: The "Poster size" you specify in the "POSTER SETTINGS" will determine the price of your high-quality PDF file.

  • Q: Do I have the right to print my poster as many times as I want with no additional fee?

A: Absolutely! You can print as many copies of your PDF as you'd like, anywhere, anytime.

  • Q: How can I customize a Movie Poster Template?

A: You can move elements around, change their sizes, change fonts and colors, and use everything that is offered to you in the OPTIONS palette, you can even add text, pictures and logos, and get really creative.
    - To customize an element
go to the ELEMENTS palette and activate the element you want to work with by clicking on it (on the left side): it will get highlighted in yellow.
    - To add new elements just click on one of the "new element" icons on the top left corner of the ELEMENTS palette to add it to the list.

  • Q: How do I know if my picture is big enough for my Movie Poster Template?

A: Once you have uploaded your picture, make sure it is selected (click on it in the ELEMENTS palette, so that it gets highlighted in yellow), and in the OPTIONS palette, set the "Image fit" to "None". It will show you how big your picture is compared to the size and resolution you have chosen.
Keep in mind that a big picture will print perfectly fine at a smaller size, but a small picture might get blurry or pixelated if you enlarge it too much.

  • Q: What if my picture is not quite big enough but I still want a big poster?

A: You can still give it shot: if the enlargement is not too drastic, it should be fine. Also, if you are printing a big poster, most of the time it will be seen from a distance, ensuring that most people won't notice if the picture is a bit soft.

  • Q: How can I make sure my picture fills up the entire poster?

A: Select your picture in the ELEMENTS palette, and use the options "Fill", Fit vertical" or "Fit horizontal" in the OPTIONS palette to have your picture fill up the available space.

  • Q: Can I prepare the credit block on my computer and then "copy and paste" it my Movie Poster Template?

A: Absolutely, and that's probably the best way to do it. You can use our example to get started, and replace our text with yours.
Tip: Make sure you double-check all possible typos and misspellings (a very common issue) before inserting the text in the Movie Poster Template.
    Credit Block example (3 lines):
PRODUCTION COMPANY 1 and PRODUCTION COMPANY 2 present ACTOR ONE ACTOR TWO ACTOR THREE and ACTOR FOUR with ACTOR NAME 'EASY MOVIE POSTER'
casting by NAME SURNAME music by NAME SURNAME costume designer NAME SURNAME editor NAME SURNAME production designer NAME SURNAME director of photography NAME SURNAME
co-producers NAME SURNAME NAME SURNAME executive producers NAME SURNAME NAME SURNAME produced by NAME SURNAME NAME SURNAME written by NAME SURNAME directed by NAME SURNAME

  • Q: How do I load the fonts?

A: The fonts are automatically loaded when you select a Movie Poster Template. If for some reason they do not seem to appear correctly, just make the text elements invisible then visible again (in the ELEMENTS palette) in order to force your browser to refresh.

  • Q: Can I use those fonts for my website or other promotional material?

A: A list of the fonts we are using is available here. We use Google Fonts, please refer to their current policy to make sure you can use them.
